I have bad knees. Can I do Body Sculpting?
The primary leg exercises we do in Body Sculpting are Squats and Lunges. These exercises are either going to help your knees or bother them. We do not do doggie leg lifts or hydrants which are ineffective leg exercises that produce little or no results. If your doctor has prescribed certain physical therapy exercises to help strengthen your legs, like leg raises, you can do these during the leg portion of our workout. Otherwise, performing Stationary Lunges, Reverse Lunges and/or Squats should not be a problem for you. Our instructor will work closely with you so that you can be assured of doing them correctly so that your legs can become stronger (and without getting bigger). However, without seeing or working with you, we can never say with 100% certainty that these exercises are right for you. You'll have to try it out for yourself and see what you think. We offer a Free Trial Class at all locations, so give it a try, then call us back to register at 216-313-FLEX (Cleveland), 330-650-FLEX (Akron), or 330-958-FLEX (Medina and Canton).
